Job Description:

Senior Support Worker – Solo Placement Children\’s Home (DoLS)
Location: Ascot
Salary: £34,320 per annum
Service: Solo Placement with Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our solo placement children\’s home. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, child-centred support for a young person subject to Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing stability, safety, and nurturing care to one young person with complex needs. You will support the Registered Manager and Deputy in delivering high standards of care, while supervising and guiding colleagues to ensure a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent, high-quality care to a young person in a solo placement.
  • Lead and support the care team on shift, ensuring safe and effective practice.
  • Support with the implementation of care plans and risk assessments.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of the young person at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with Children\’s Homes Regulations, Ofsted standards, and DoLS requirements.
  • Work closely with professionals, families, and agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in children\’s residential care, ideally within a solo placement or high-complexity service.
  • Understanding of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Resilient, compassionate, and committed to improving the life of young people with complex needs.
