Meditalent have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a well-established team in the hospital of a leading healthcare provider. As Consultant Psychiatrist you will be a senior member of staff, providing leadership along side high-quality care, assessment and treatment.
Main Duties:
- Deliver regular leadership and supervision to junior members of the team
- Conduct referral assessments, attend care reviews, panel reviews and mental health review tribunals
- Manage and evaluate the medical service
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to plan and facilitate service users’ journey back into the community
- Be involved in delivering Clinical Governance
The right candidate will:
- Be medically qualified with MRCPsych or equivalent
- Have previous leadership & consultant experience (desirable)
- Be able to initiate corporate decisions and have the understanding of change management, relevant legislation and cases in mental and physical health
