About the Role
Do you hold a valid frontline SIA Licence and want a role beyond traditional security? Are you looking for a rewarding leadership position where you can genuinely make a difference to patient, visitor, and staff safety? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Security Manager to lead our Award Winning Medirest Security Team. You will lead and develop a highly skilled security workforce, ensuring a safe, secure, and supportive hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Healthcare Security Supervisors and Officers
- Liaise confidently with clients, police, and multiple stakeholders
- Support incident response, investigations, and post-incident reviews
- Manage rotas, payroll, appraisals, and compliance
- Ensure adherence to NHS, CQC, SIA, and relevant legislative requirements
- Support clinical teams with de-escalation and, where necessary, patient restraint
- Oversee CCTV operations (funded licence available if required)
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment across hospital grounds
About You
- You will be passionate about patient, staff, and visitor safety
- A confident leader in high-pressure healthcare environments
- Skilled in communication, empathy, and verbal de-escalation
- Comfortable working with vulnerable individuals and those in distress
- Knowledgeable (or willing to learn) NHS security standards, Mental Health Act, and counter-terrorism requirements
- Computer literate and highly organised
