Assistant Catering Manager

Salary & Hours

  • £30,000 per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday‑Friday variable hours between 7 AM – 7 PM
  • Successful candidate will be in the kitchen 4 days per week.

As an Assistant Catering Manager in a healthcare setting, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of our kitchen and supporting the delivery of exceptional food experiences. Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising between the team and manager to ensure we continually exceed expectations
  • Motivating the team to keep everyone on task
  • Assisting the manager with managing inventories, monitoring budgets and implementing action plans
  • Supporting and training our teams, leading from the front to make sure everyone can excel in their role
  • Assisting with paperwork when required

Ideal Candidate

  • Be passionate about great‑tasting food and exceptional customer service
  • Have previous experience in a similar role
  • Have experience managing teams
  • Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Hold a Food Hygiene certificate
  • Have a flexible approach to working
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be an ambitious and motivated individual who is always looking to upskill
