About the Role: Reporting to the Head of Dietetics, you’ll work across care homes, hospices, and assisted living sites, offering expert guidance on nutrition and food service. This is a highly collaborative role that sits at the heart of clinical nutrition, operational excellence, and culinary creativity.
You’ll support the development of menus, mobilise new business, deliver training, and ensure compliance with all relevant nutritional and food safety standards—from CQC to IDDSI.
What You’ll Do:
- Menu & Recipe Development: Collaborate with culinary and operational teams to design and analyse nutritionally balanced menus tailored to various care needs.
- Nutritional Compliance: Ensure adherence to legislation, audit food services, and deliver detailed reports with actionable insights.
- Training & Engagement: Create and deliver training for catering, care, and operational teams to drive quality and consistency.
- Site & Client Support: Provide on-site and virtual support to care settings, including start-ups and business mobilisation.
- Service Innovation: Contribute to national projects, share best practices, and help develop tools and protocols to enhance meal services and resident experience.
What You’ll Bring:
- BSc/Postgraduate Degree in Dietetics
- HCPC Registered Dietitian
- Member of the British Dietetic Association
- Experience in health care settings (care homes, hospices, hospitals, community)
- Background in foodservice dietetics or catering environments
- Strong skills in menu design, recipe analysis, and compliance
- Experienced trainer with confidence presenting to multidisciplinary teams
- Proficient in nutritional analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite
