We're recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Healthcare on a full time basis, contracted to 36.75 hours per week.

As a Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens run smoothly and helping to deliver truly incredible patient experiences. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Supervising and supporting the Patient Dining team to deliver an excellent meal service to patients across all hospital wards.
  • Leading by example to maintain high standards of customer service, food safety, hygiene, and patient satisfaction.
  • Working closely with the Catering Management team to ensure departmental objectives, service standards, and performance targets are consistently achieved.
  • Assisting with the training, development, and ongoing support of frontline catering staff to promote a positive and high‑performing team culture.
  • Communicating effectively with nursing, clinical, and ward‑based staff to ensure individual patient dietary requirements and service needs are met.
  • Contributing to the planning and management of staff rotas, annual leave, and workforce allocation to ensure adequate service coverage.
  • Supporting the completion and maintenance of Health & Safety, food safety, and other departmental documentation in line with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring team performance and addressing operational issues promptly to ensure a safe, efficient, and patient‑focused service.
  • Promoting compliance with infection prevention, food hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times.

Our Ideal Catering Supervisor Will

  • Be passionate about great‑tasting food and exceptional customer service.
  • Have a minimum of two years of catering experience.
  • Have experience managing teams in a similar role.
  • Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Be an ambitious and motivated individual who is always looking to upskill.
