We're looking for a proactive, people-focused Domestic Assistant Manager to support the delivery of outstanding domestic services at Springfield Hospital, one of London's leading healthcare facilities.
Working with Medirest (Compass Group), you'll play a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Your leadership will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, compliance, and service excellence across the hospital.
What You'll Do
- Support the day-to-day delivery of high-quality domestic services across patient and non-patient areas
- Ensure compliance with cleaning standards, infection prevention protocols, and Health & Safety regulations
- Lead, motivate, and develop supervisors and domestic teams to achieve operational excellence
- Assist with audits, inspections, quality monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support workforce planning, rota management, and resource deployment
- Maintain strong working relationships with hospital teams and key stakeholders
- Monitor service performance against KPIs and implement improvements where required
- Promote a positive, patient-focused culture across the domestic services team
- Experience within domestic services, soft FM, healthcare, or a similar operational environment
- Previous experience supervising or managing teams
- Strong understanding of compliance, health and safety, and service standards
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with audits, rotas, workforce planning, or quality assurance processes is desirable
- A commitment to delivering exceptional service and supporting patient wellbeing
