The Smithfield Bell is a popular family friendly pub situated on a busy retail park in Welshpool. The surrounding area consists of Welshpool train station, golf course and national trust site – Powis castle and gardens.
The area is popular with tourists, with multiple caravan parks, cycling routes and canal walks nearby. With indoor and outdoor play areas for the children there really is something for everyone at this family focused pub. The large bar means there\’s always a fantastic range of ales, beers and ciders to choose from, with TVs and pool table to keep everyone entertained.
This busy pub offers a traditional food menu that caters for all, with a restaurant area able to cater for 160 guests internally, plus an additional 40 outside during busy periods. It also boasts a pizza kitchen- that allows for a takeaway option for those hungry cyclists and walkers.
This community food pub currently has a sales mix of 65:35 – Dry to wet. Expected weekly sales are currently around 16,000 however with regular entertainment driving both the wet and dry sales this can easily be increased up to 18,000 – 20,000 per week.
