Are you a dedicated Out of hours Distribution Supervisorlooking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation? At Tarmac, we are on the lookout for anOut of hours Distribution Supervisorto join our team.
**Please note the working hours for this role are 15:30 - 00:00 Monday - Friday**
This role is mainly remote, but you will be expected to be at one of our sites at least once a week. This could be around the Midlands or the M5 or M6 corridor. Our current supervisors live around these regions; and when you meet it will be in Birmingham, so a willingness to travel to any of these locations is preferable.
About the Role
Reporting into the Logistics Services Manager, the successful Out of hours Distribution Supervisorwill deliver and monitor the out-of-hours plan across the national planning setup.You will drive the appropriate optimise initiatives within the OOH team and develop a strong dynamic OOH planning team to deliver a sector-leading service.
What you\'ll be doing
In this role, you as the successful Out of hours Distribution Supervisorwill be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive)
- Delivering comprehensive reports and communications
- Becoming the go-to problem solver for our stakeholders operating Nationally out of hours
- Managing and delivering exceptional service for our internal and external customers
- Leading your team\'s health and safety obligations for each other
- Identifying talent and manage succession plans for team
- Providing supporting information and comprehensive reports to the logistics teams highlighting any key improvements that can be delivered
- Reacting to change in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key external and internal stakeholders
- Fully supporting national initiatives or projects when requested
