About the Role
Nottingham City Libraries are seeking to recruit Casual Library Customer Advisors.
We\’re looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who loves helping others and who would welcome the chance to inspire people to read, learn and enjoy culture. As a Casual Library Customer Advisor, no two days would be the same. You may be taking a class visit from a local school, or helping someone to fill in a job application, or to choose their perfect book to read. Our libraries offer a wide range of services, and you will make sure that everyone\’s experience with us is a positive one. You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, energetic and proactive in looking for ways to develop and improve library services and outcomes for customers. You will also be committed to supporting the delivery of arts, cultural and learning services delivered through libraries.
You will be asked to cover a variety of front-line roles on an ad hoc basis due to vacancies, sickness, and leave.
You may be asked to move site at the last minute, and may be asked at short notice to be able to cover a library for us.
We are looking for a variety of people to cover different elements of this role, including
- General cover at all our library locations
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
