Join us as a Learning & Development Facilitator. This Edinburgh based role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced facilitator to deliver learning and development content via face to face, on air, webinars and virtual training. You’ll be responsible for leading and managing the wider facilitation team within the FinCrime Hub to ensure learning interventions are effectively delivered and maintain high standards of facilitation. You’ll work from home some of the time, but you’ll also spend a significant amount of time working from an advertised office or hub minimum two days per week.

What you'll do:

  • Using a variety of techniques, you’ll test the learners’ understanding throughout the sessions, reinforcing key points and adapting the style to make sure they are increasing people’s capabilities.
  • You’ll succeed by adopting an engaging and professional delivery style, using different communicating skills as appropriate for the learners and delivery method.
  • We’ll look to you to lead a team of facilitators, manage and coach the team to deliver learning interventions that align with business and the enterprise-wide strategy.
  • You’ll also enhance the FinCrime Hub facilitation and delivery strategy, including the service proposition, skills development framework, and delivery standards in line with the FinCrime Hub strategy.
  • Facilitating deep financial crime training and associated coaching in line with the curriculum to people across the FinCrime Hub in a customer focused way.
  • Acting as a role model, reinforcing our leadership standards, tools and principles.
  • Maintaining knowledge of the franchises and functions, keeping close to our customers and the people who support our customers.
  • Ensuring up-to-date and relevant knowledge of business priorities, processes, products and services to make sure that learning is commercially aligned to business strategy.
  • Providing continuous improvement feedback to teams regarding the maintenance of our material to make sure it remains up-to-date and aligned to business strategy.
  • Overseeing the measurement, evaluation and reporting of facilitated learning aligned to the enterprise-wide skills roadmap, to inform and evolve the service proposition.

The skills you'll need:

  • Experience of facilitating and delivering outstanding learning and development to a wide range of audiences in a financial organisation, as well as experience of the banking industry, and financial crime regulatory and commercial environment.
  • You’ll apply technical expertise and knowledge of systems, processes and regulations to the delivery of workshops to increase the capability of our people.
  • You’ll also bring knowledge and application of learning and development theories, models and practices.
  • Experience of influencing diverse audiences.
  • Technical and professional learning and development knowledge.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal policies, regulations and risk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial crime learning content, with the ability to deliver in a confident and professional manner.
  • The ability to amend the delivery style to the audience needs to make sure maximum learning takes place.
