We are currently looking for a Fleet Management and Compliance Officer who must have a Transport Manager CPC and relevant experience working in a fleet/transportation service area to manage our Fleet Operations team. This is a role which will provide a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team to manage a critical area of our Fleet Management Team.

You will be based in our state-of-the-art newly built workshop and join us at a time when we are investing in our future. You will be required to review, develop and monitor all fleet operational systems and procedures, while line managing the team who cover functions such as service desk, compliance, commercial, spot hire and providing expert advice to customers.

You will have responsibility for creating long term strategic replacement plans and contributing to business plans based on the replacement policies in place, either capital or revenue for a fleet that is worth circa £25 million. Then carrying out procurement exercises in line with council policy and monitor related budgets.

You will manage and monitor fleet compliance functions in accordance with the Operator Licence rules and all relevant legislation, as well as being one of the ‘Transport Managers’ named on the Operator Licence. Vehicle utilisation must be monitored and action taken to ensure that the fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment are fully utilised and providing value for money.

You will communicate and problem solve with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally.
