Aramark UK are currently recruiting for Equine Equipment Maintainers in their Defence sector to be a part of our integral team at Woolwich HQ, Napier Lines, SE18 4BB. As an Equine Equipment Maintainer, you will clean and maintain all Military Working Horses (MWH) ceremonial and exercise head kits, saddles and girths, and co-ordinate the collection and return of laundered items for the associated ancillaries for the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment (HCMR) in Central London.
This is a full-time, permanent position. You will be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Working times are 08.30 β 16.30 with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break. The hourly rate is Β£12.21. A day in the life of an Equine Equipment Maintainer:
- Collect, clean, and maintain all MWH exercise head kits, saddles, and girths (civilian pattern saddlery).
- Collect, clean, and maintain all MWH exercise head kits, saddles, and girths (military pattern).
- Collect, clean, and maintain all MWH ceremonial head kits, saddles, and girths (parade pattern).
- Co-ordinate the collection of soiled and the return of laundered items (including dry cleaning) for associated ancillaries (numnahs, bandages, rugs).
- Completion of a variety of straightforward, stand-alone tasks within set rules and instructions.
You will be set up for success if you have:
- Previous experience within a horse environment is not required; all training will be provided.
- Been resident in the UK for the past 3 years and have legal right to work.
- Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
