We are seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the Medirest team. You will be part of a dedicated team providing cleaning services for patients, visitors, and staff in the hospital.
Your role as a Domestic Assistant is crucial in infection control, helping to keep the hospital safe and operational. This is not just any cleaning job; it’s a position where your work directly contributes to patient care and safety.
Shift Patterns
- Relief coverage with flexible hours
Responsibilities
- Dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces
- Cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, and public areas
- Maintaining and emptying rubbish bins
- Ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and presentable according to hospital standards
- Following health & safety guidelines when using equipment
Candidate Requirements
- Effective communication skills with patients, visitors, and staff
- Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a hospital environment, including with unwell or distressed patients
- No previous experience necessary; pride in your work and willingness to learn are most important
- Position is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check (costs covered by employer)
