We're looking for an Environmental Health Manager to play a key leadership role in delivering vital public protection services and improving environmental standards across our communities. What you will be doing:
- Leading and supporting the Environmental Health team to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service
- Overseeing a wide-ranging service covering housing, public health, food safety, environmental protection and community safety
- Managing day-to-day operations, ensuring workloads are prioritised and performance targets are met
- Making informed decisions on enforcement action and overseeing complex investigations and legal cases
- Providing expert advice on planning, licensing and environmental impacts
- Driving service improvements and delivering projects aligned to corporate priorities
- Managing budgets, resources and external contractors to ensure value for money
- Working closely with partners to safeguard vulnerable residents and support wider community outcomes

- A qualified Environmental Health professional with strong technical knowledge
