We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Swimming Teacher to join our team and help people of all ages build confidence, skills and enjoyment in the water. Working within Swim England's Learn to Swim framework, you will play a vital role in creating safe, fun and high-quality swimming lessons for both our Learn to Swim programme and school sessions.
You will possess either a Swim England (SE) Level 2 Swimming Teaching or Swimming Teachers Association (STA) Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming. Whether teaching small groups of beginners or larger school classes, you will be inspiring the next generation of swimmers and supporting their progress every step of the way.
What you will be getting up to:
- Deliver engaging swimming lessons aligned with the Swim England Learn to Swim criteria and National Curriculum requirements.
- Teach pupils of all ages and abilities, adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs, including those with special educational needs or disabilities.
- Plan, prepare and deliver structured, progressive lesson plans across a range of ability groups.
- Assess each swimmer's progress, providing constructive feedback and encouraging development.
- A commitment to maintaining safety, safeguarding and high teaching standards.
Who we are looking for:
- You will be able to work well in a team and follow company policy and procedures.
- You will have good technical knowledge and the ability to display accurate in-water demonstrations.
- You will be able to communicate effectively with all swimmers and have the ability to manage and motivate them effectively.

Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check (applied and paid for by the Council).
