Are you an aspiring teacher or dream of working with children and young people? The Council has a fantastic opportunity to support more children and young people to be active, have fun and make new friends through our Active Camps programme. We are looking for proactive and positive people with a willingness to develop new skills. Active Camps works with children aged 5 to 11 through each school holiday period. You will help our young people make memories for life through the power of sport and physical activity.

What you'll be getting up to:

  • Supporting Active Health Officers to deliver fun games and activities.
  • Helping children to make new friends and try new activities.
  • Encouraging children to live healthier and happier lifestyles.
  • Attending regular training and briefing sessions to ensure we deliver Active Camps to the highest possible standard.

Who we're looking for:

  • Aspiring Sports Coaches and Teachers with experience of working with children and young people.
  • Proactive, positive people.

Other requirements:

Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check (applied and paid for by the Council).
