The role of Accountant in the corporate accounting team involves contributing to a variety of areas within the team.
You will be involved in capital and revenue budgeting, monitoring and year end accounting including the use of asset registers.
You will contribute to the financial support and accounting for Charities, Common Good and external bodies including Tayside and Central Scotland Transport Partnership (TACTRAN).
You will assist with the completion of statutory and statistical returns and provide financial support and advice to senior colleagues in the Council and Elected Members.
You will liaise with External Audit and have experience of technical accounting issues.
Skills & Experience Required
You will be a qualified CCAB Accountant.
You will be computer literate and experience of asset registers would be desirable.
You will have strong written and oral communication skills and have the ability to apply and explain technical accounting issues.
The ability to work under your own initiative, to manage workloads and meet deadlines will be essential.
