We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Management Accountant to join our finance team in Castle Donington. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a strong academic background in finance, accounting, mathematics, or a related discipline to develop practical experience in management accounting, financial reporting, and business analysis. Salary £28,000.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes across departments.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with financial reporting and performance tracking against KPIs.
- Support audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong academic record demonstrating analytical and numerical ability.
- Placement year or internship experience in finance (desirable but not essential).
- Working towards or willingness to pursue a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Good understanding of financial principles and accounting concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
