We are now seeking an experienced Marketing Manager – Surgical & Operating Theatres (S&OR) to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in developing and delivering marketing strategies that drive profitable growth across this strategically important product portfolio.

The Opportunity

Reporting into Mediq’s Sales function, the Marketing Manager – Surgical & Operating Theatres will own the marketing strategy for a diverse portfolio of surgical consumables, operating theatre essentials, and procedural products.

This is a highly commercial role that combines strategic marketing, category development, product lifecycle management, supplier collaboration, and go-to-market execution.

Working cross-functionally with Sales, Category Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Clinical and Finance teams, you will identify growth opportunities, develop compelling customer value propositions, and deliver initiatives that strengthen Mediq's position within the NHS, private healthcare, and wholesale sectors.

Salary - £50,000 - £55,000 plus Car Allowance

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the Surgical & Operating Theatres portfolio strategy to achieve revenue, margin, and market share growth.
  • Identify and evaluate market opportunities across NHS, private healthcare, and community healthcare sectors.
  • Drive growth through category development, customer acquisition, product launches, and market penetration initiatives.
  • Create and execute go-to-market strategies, customer segmentation plans, and value propositions.
  • Lead new product introduction and launch activities to maximise commercial success.
  • Develop integrated marketing campaigns that generate demand and strengthen customer engagement.
  • Partner with Category Management to optimise portfolio performance through lifecycle management, product mix, pricing, and rationalisation activities.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Build strong supplier relationships and support joint business plans that accelerate category growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales teams to support pipeline development, customer retention, and key account growth.
  • Develop sales enablement materials, training programmes, and market insights to improve commercial effectiveness.
  • Support customer presentations, evaluations, tenders, and strategic account activities.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure effective delivery of commercial and operational initiatives.
  • Champion customer-focused, insight-led decision making throughout the business.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a commercially driven marketing professional with experience within healthcare, medical devices, consumables, or a related sector.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in product management, category management, or marketing.
  • Degree qualified in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance and develop growth strategies.
  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market plans and product launch programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across commercial and operational teams.
  • Ability to translate customer and market insight into actionable growth initiatives.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and results focused.

Desirable

  • Experience within healthcare, medical devices, or healthcare consumables markets.
  • Understanding of NHS procurement processes, frameworks, and healthcare market dynamics.
  • Experience supporting sales teams through training, marketing tools, and sales enablement programmes.
