We are recruiting for a Finance Reporting Manager to join our team based in Castle Donington. The role of the Finance Reporting Manager is to support the Financial Controller in all aspects of Management Accounting; Financial Control; Forecasting; Budgeting; Financial Reporting (Statutory accounts etc) and Compliance (Corporation Tax, VAT etc). You will be based in Castle Donington and have a requirement to travel to our office in Theobalds, Cheshunt as and when required.

Responsibilities

  • Management Accounting
    • Prepare and produce monthly management accounts within reporting timetables.
    • Completion of reporting templates for uploading into Group Consolidation Systems.
    • Identification and investigation of variances versus budget & forecast.
    • Maintain Fixed Asset register, Capex & Project reporting.
    • Produce reports for monthly reporting pack & supporting the business with requested financial information.
    • Support wider internal Finance teams like Commercial Finance, AP & AR.
  • Financial Control
    • Review of financial processes to ensure tight financial control and compliance with Mediq Policy.
    • Development of cash reporting and forecasting techniques including driving working capital improvement.
    • Close scrutiny and Opex management of Supply Chain operations.
    • Assist in Balance sheet reviews including regular preparation/review of Balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Liaising with internal auditors to provide all information set out in audit scope.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Assist in preparation of Budgets & Forecasts for the P&L, Balance sheet & Cash Flow management.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Providing external auditors with required information as set out in their audit scope and resolving their queries.
    • Assisting in preparation of the Statutory Accounts.
  • Compliance
    • Review & submission of VAT return.
    • Support Corporation Tax submission with provision of Tax information requested.
    • Submission of Government reporting (ONS, Supplier Payment Reporting, Plastics Tax etc).

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Experience in similar industry & commerce roles.
  • Proficiency in various accounting software and MS office, especially excel (pivot tables, vlookups etc).
  • Highly organised, with great attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach.
