As a MediPro Tutor, you will join a supportive, motivated team delivering high-quality clinical education and apprenticeships. You will shape engaging, practice-based learning and help our learners succeed, ultimately improving patient care. As a national company, there would be an expectation of travel where needed.
Main duties of the job:
- Delivering high-quality professional education, learning and development to a diverse range of learners across MediPro's education programmes.
- Planning, delivering and assessing engaging, practice-based learning that meets awarding organisation, regulatory and apprenticeship requirements.
- Managing a caseload of learners, providing academic and pastoral support, monitoring progress and supporting achievement.
- Contributing to curriculum quality, inspection readiness and continuous improvement, while maintaining professional registration, clinical credibility and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Main Duties:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, innovative and informative teaching sessions aligned to awarding body, regulatory and apprenticeship standards.
- Manage a caseload of learners, providing academic guidance, pastoral support, regular feedback and action planning.
- Mark and assess learner work accurately and timely, maintaining assessment and examination security at all times.
- Create and maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment across all delivery settings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of awarding organisation requirements, apprenticeship standards and curriculum frameworks.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Ofsted inspection framework and individual responsibilities within it.
- Produce written reports on learner progress, quality and compliance for internal and external use.
- Support accreditation, moderation and inspection activity, including preparation of evidence, reports and action plans.
- Identify learner and organisational training needs and contribute to the design and review of educational solutions.
- Lead or support curriculum or clinical subject areas, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
- Mentor, support and assess newly appointed, trainee or seconded tutors as required.
- Participate in tutor recruitment, selection and assessment processes when required.
- Contribute to the development of teaching materials, learning resources and assessment tools.
- Monitor and evaluate programme delivery to ensure quality exceeds minimum awarding body standards.
- Act as an exam invigilator and manage summative and formative assessments as required.
- Participate in audits, investigations, complaints or incident reviews when required.
- Ensure the safe use, storage and security of equipment, vehicles, training venues and prescription-only medicines used for instructional purposes.
- Prioritise and manage own workload effectively to support business delivery.
- Maintain professional registration and actively engage in CPD to sustain clinical and educational credibility.
- Comply with all organisational policies, procedures, safeguarding and governance requirements.

Person Specification:
- Educated to degree level.
- Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed, P.G.C.E, or equivalent).
- CPD that represents the service user requirements.
- Good working knowledge of apprenticeships including Ofsted Inspection Framework and Awarding Organisation assessment principles and standards.
- Good awareness and understanding of local/national prevent and safeguarding processes to support learners.
- Keep abreast of local and national clinical practice changes to help contribute to the improvement and review of the qualifications we deliver.
- Good working knowledge of quality assurance standards and frameworks adopted by the company.
- Level 3 CAVA qualification or willing to work towards.
- ALS/ITLS/PHPLS/MIMMS instructor.
Experience:
- HCPC or NMC registered with at least 5 years post registration practice with current occupational competence.
- Experience working in FE/HE/Apprenticeships.
- Excellent team working skills/experience.
- Demonstrates a passion for learning with a commitment to quality.
- Other areas of medical experience (remote, primary health etc).
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work to quality standard with a high level of accuracy.
- Time management and prioritisation skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to communicate to a wide variety of audiences and adapt various styles to get the best out of the group.
- Able to work under pressure to meet KPIs and targets.
- Able to work part of a team.
- Self-disciplined and able to work on own initiative.
- Proven track record of supporting learners into job outcomes.
