Mediplacements are currently looking to recruit an experienced band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Haematology for a locum vacancy in Dundee. The pay for this position ranges from GBP25 per hour. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible working full-time.
Responsibilities:
- Core and specialist tasks within the Haematology laboratory
Essential experience:
- Core Haematology
- Blood Film Morphology
- Malarial parasite screening and identification
- Sickle test / haemoglobinopathy screening
- Working out of hours
Desirable experience:
- Use of Clinysis Labcentre / Winpath Enterprise Laboratory IT systems
- Use of Siemens Advia 2120 analysers
- Use of ACL Tops coagulation analysers
- Specialist Coagulation / factor assays
Shifts: day shift, late, night and weekend shifts
