The client is a specialised healthcare provider focused on delivering holistic mental health and addiction treatment services. The facility offers structured therapeutic programmes supported by a multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on evidence-based care and long-term patient recovery.

The Clinical Psychologist will provide expert psychological assessment, therapy and support to individuals recovering from substance abuse, addiction and other mental health conditions. This role involves both individual and group therapy within a structured programme, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions within the therapeutic programme
  • Conduct individual therapy sessions with patients
  • Conduct conjoint sessions with patients and their families
  • Participate in programme groups to gain a comprehensive understanding and support facilitation when required
  • Assess and interview patients to inform treatment planning
  • Complete administrative tasks and maintain accurate records
  • Compile detailed reports on patient progress and treatment outcomes
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated patient care

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology
  • Current HPCSA registration as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Experience within a psychiatric and or addiction environment
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Computer literacy
