The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detaildriven Patient Booking Administrator to support us in Wolverhampton via NHS Trust Wolverhampton.
This is a highly impactful, nonclinical role focused on delivering timely, wellcoordinated patient appointments and ensuring clinicians have accurate, complete information to provide safe and effective care. You will act as a key administrative link between patients, consultants, and clinical teams, supporting essential operational processes that help increase NHS capacity and improve patient experience.

What You'll Be Doing:
Patient Booking & Communication
- Acting as the first point of contact for patients regarding endoscopy appointment scheduling
- Contacting eligible patients in line with Trust/Health Board policies
- Recording all appointment outcomes accurately on Remedy and client systems
- Ensuring patients understand procedure information, preparation steps, and medication requirements
- Escalating any clinical queries or concerns to the nursing team
- Maintaining accurate logs of incoming and outgoing patient communications
Clinical Preparation & Results Management
- Reviewing patient results and flagging issues to consultants where appropriate
- Preparing patient notes, historic medical information, and endoscopy clinic lists
- Ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and readily available - including for shortnotice clinics
Outcome Reporting & Audit
- Accurately recording clinical outcomes to support appropriate followup and enable correct billing
- Contributing to audit activities including reviewing historic outcomes
- Supporting stock management or consumables ordering as required
Service Improvement
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives across Medinet
- Identifying operational or processrelated improvements to enhance workflow and patient experience
What We're Looking For:
Essential
- Previous experience in patient appointment booking, ideally within the NHS
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support patients sensitively and professionally
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Confident using patient administration systems, digital tools, and workflow technology
Desirable
- Experience working in endoscopy, theatres, or other clinical support environments
- Familiarity with Remedy or similar patient booking software
- Understanding of clinical list preparation and handling of patient results
Role Details
- Location: TBC (Wolverhampton Trust) (Onsite)
- Hours: 9am-5pm, 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
- Contract: Fixed term until December 2026 (with potential extension)
- Salary: Β£26,000 per annum (pro rata)
