Location: Sutton Coldfield

Contract: Full-time, Permanent - 37.5 hours per week

Work Pattern: Hybrid - the service operates 7 days a week, 12 hours per day, so shift flexibility is required

Our Children's Services are expanding, and we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Titration Team Lead to support the day-to-day delivery of our children's titration service.

The Role

As Titration Team Lead - Children's Services, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the team responsible for delivering a safe, efficient and patient-centred titration service for children and young people.

You will provide day-to-day leadership to the team, ensuring that patients and their families receive a consistent, high-quality service throughout the titration pathway. You will act as an escalation point for complex queries, support the effective management of caseloads and processes, and work closely with clinical and operational colleagues to ensure the service meets its quality, compliance and performance requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong healthcare or patient-facing experience who is confident leading a team and is passionate about delivering positive outcomes for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support the titration team, promoting a culture of accountability, compassion and continuous improvement.
• Provide regular 1:1s, coaching and feedback to team members.
• Monitor individual and team performance against agreed KPIs and service standards.
• Support staff development, training and performance management where required.
• Manage team rotas and ensure appropriate staffing and service coverage.

Titration Service Operations

• Oversee the day-to-day coordination and administration of the children's titration pathway.
• Ensure referrals, appointments, patient communications and follow-up activities are managed accurately and within required timescales.
• Monitor caseloads and identify potential delays, risks or capacity issues.
• Support the effective implementation and optimisation of systems and processes used across the service.
• Work closely with clinical teams to ensure patients move through the titration pathway safely and efficiently.

Patient & Stakeholder Communication

• Act as an escalation point for complex or sensitive patient and parent/carer queries.
• Ensure families receive clear, compassionate and timely communication throughout the titration process.
• Liaise effectively with clinicians, GPs, internal teams and other relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure communication remains professional, patient-centred and compliant with service requirements.

Governance, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure the service operates in line with relevant policies, procedures and data protection requirements.
• Support audits, quality assurance activity, risk reviews and service improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, patient experience and operational efficiency.
• Support the implementation of new systems, processes and technologies within the service.
• Ensure accurate and timely record keeping and documentation.

What You'll Need

• Previous experience working within a healthcare, clinical administration or patient-facing environment.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or coaching team members.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a busy service environment.
• Experience using healthcare systems, patient record platforms or booking systems.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality, data protection and high-quality patient care.
• A compassionate and professional approach when supporting children, young people and their families.
• Previous experience working within children's services, mental health, ADHD, ASD or neurodevelopmental services.
• Experience within a medication titration or clinical pathway environment.
• Knowledge of NHS healthcare pathways and service delivery.
