Based in our Innovation Centre in Aylesbury, you\'ll join our driven R&D team as a Packaging Development Technologist. In this crucial role, you\'ll contribute to and support key teams like Supply Chain & Operations, Product Development, and Marketing. You\'ll play a vital part in analysing and helping to resolve manufacturing issues, ensuring we consistently deliver fit-for-purpose and efficient packaging solutions that uphold our products to the highest standards. Responsibilities: Supporting the coordination of packaging projects to help deliver our NPD and EPD roadmap on time and in full. Contributing to packaging activities within R&D, working to meet project milestones by following established best practices through development, testing, and execution. Assisting in the development and execution of clear testing plans for assigned projects to minimise any post-launch issues. Helping to gather information and communicate options and risks with key stakeholders. Conducting testing and trials to assess packaging and ensure it is fit-for-purpose. Learning and applying objectives and strategic frameworks to packaging decisions. Regularly reviewing existing packaging, identifying opportunities for improvement and necessary updates under guidance. Acting as a key point of contact for routine packaging enquiries, internally and externally. Requirements: Degree or diploma in Packaging Technology, or related scientific discipline Relevant experience through a successful sandwich year placement or work experience. Foundational understanding of common packaging materials (e.g., plastics, glass, paperboard) and their key properties. Familiar with basic packaging testing methodologies and their purpose. A solutions-oriented mindset with a high level of drive and personal commitment. A proactive, problem-solving attitude, embracing challenges with a \"can-do\" approach. Comfortable collaborating effectively within a multi-stakeholder, multi-function environment.
