Medik8 is a UK-based clinical skincare company dedicated to providing high-quality results-driven skincare products that are backed by scientific research and innovation. The Director of Sales will lead and unify Medik8’s multi-channel sales strategy across EMEA & ROW, driving sustainable growth, brand elevation and commercial excellence. This is a new role for this year, as we evolve our operating model to include serving retail in new markets directly.

This role will oversee a team supporting Retail, led by a new hire (ideally appointed by this individual) Head of Retail; and a team leading Distributors led by Head of B2B sales. This role will oversee the full sales ecosystem, including Retail, E-Tail and Distributor markets, ensuring a consistent approach to pricing, positioning, and execution across all channels. The Sales Director will directly manage the Head of Retail and Head of Distributor Sales, bringing clarity, accountability and pace to a complex and fast-scaling business.

Salary: £100,000 - £120,000

Hybrid Working: This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week based at our office and 2 days from home.

Location: We are currently based in Centennial Park, Elstree, however, we will be relocating to the Central London area in 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the regional sales strategy aligned with 3-year growth ambitions.
  • Own net sales performance across all channels and markets.
  • Translate strategy into clear annual plans and deliver against budget.
  • Lead Retail and Distributor sales under one commercial vision.
  • Ensure consistency in pricing, positioning and go-to-market, in close collaboration with Marketing.
  • Own senior relationships across key retail partners and distributor network.
  • Drive performance across all partners (NS, sell-out, forecasts, execution).
  • Lead commercial negotiations (contracts, trading terms, commercial frameworks).
  • Ensure compliance with contractual frameworks and brand standards.
  • Oversee in-store and partner execution in collaboration with the Head of Marketing.
  • Identify and unlock growth opportunities across markets, channels and key accounts.
  • Balance short-term delivery with long-term brand equity.
  • Drive robust sales planning and forecasting with IBP and Finance.
  • Monitor performance through clear KPIs and data-led insights.
  • Identify risks and implement corrective actions quickly.
  • Establish and hire a new team supporting the Retail pillar of the business.
  • Protect & build the culture of the Sales team, while onboarding significant number of new team members and a new operating model.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales organisation.
  • Manage Head of Retail and Head of Distributor Sales directly, indirect management of a team of 11.
  • Build clear ways of working, accountability and performance culture.

Requirements

  • Proven senior sales leadership experience in premium beauty, skincare or FMCG.
  • Strong track record across both retail and distributor models internationally.
  • Experience managing key European retail partners (e.g. Sephora, Douglas).
  • Commercially sharp, strong negotiator, able to influence at senior level.
  • Experience setting up teams and ways of working.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong execution drive.
