The Head of Retail & E-Tail is responsible for leading Medik8’s retail and e-tail channels across EMEA & ROW, delivering sustainable growth, premium execution, and strong commercial performance. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role will own the end-to-end performance of the retail and e-tail channels, translating the overall sales strategy into clear channel plans and execution. You will play a critical role in scaling Medik8’s presence across physical and digital retail environments, ensuring brand consistency, excellence in execution, and strong sell-out performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Channel Leadership & Growth: Lead the retail & e-tail channels across EMEA & ROW, delivering against net sales and sell-out targets. Translate the global and regional sales strategy into clear, actionable channel plans. Drive distribution, productivity, and channel mix to unlock sustainable growth. Identify and execute key growth opportunities across markets and partners.
- Key Accounts & Commercial Delivery: Own relationships with key retail and e-tail partners, including senior commercial engagement. Lead all commercial negotiations covering distribution, stores and online rollout and visibility, and launch conditions. Deliver channel P&L performance, including revenue, margin, and trade investment. Contribute to joint commercial planning in partnership with Marketing.
- Execution Excellence (In-Store & Online): Deliver best-in-class execution across all retail and e-tail touchpoints. Partner closely with Marketing, Trade & Brand and Regional Managers to ensure strong in-store presence and visual merchandising, best-in-class digital execution across e-tail platforms, impactful launch and activation plans, and consistent premium brand positioning across all environments.
- Sell-Out & Performance Management: Drive a sell-out first mindset, focusing on productivity, conversion, and ROI. Track and optimise performance across retail and e-tail using clear KPIs. Identify risks and opportunities early and implement corrective actions. Work with Regional Managers to ensure strong in-store performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing (activation, campaigns, NPD launches), Education (training and in-store excellence), Supply Chain (forecasting and availability), Finance (trade spend and profitability), and Regional Managers (flow of information from the field team). Ensure alignment from strategy through to execution.
- Planning & Operations: Contribute to IBP and forecasting processes for retail and e-tail. Manage trade investment to deliver strong ROI. Establish clear reporting and performance tracking across the channels. Continuously improve processes to support scale and efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing retail & e-tail team. Set clear objectives and accountability across the team. Foster a culture of performance, ownership, and collaboration.
Profile:
- Significant experience in retail and/or e-tail within beauty or premium consumer brands.
- Experience opening and setting up retail partnerships.
- Proven track record of delivering sell-out growth and channel expansion.
- Strong commercial acumen, including negotiation and P&L delivery.
- Deep understanding of omnichannel retail dynamics.
- Data-driven and execution-focused.
- Confident leader with the ability to operate in a fast-growth environment.
- Desirable: experience with European Sephora & Douglas.
