This is an exciting opportunity for a strategically minded and commercially savvy professional to join our Operations & Supply Chain team. As our Inventory Planner, you will act as the strategic guardian of Medik8's working capital efficiency. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be the primary bridge between Operations, Quality, Finance, and Commercial stakeholders, ensuring our capital is never trapped in stagnant stock.

You will drive the inventory lifecycle toward full commercial realisation, safeguarding inventory value across all global channels and architecting the data-driven insights that underpin our Integrated Business Planning.

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 (Based on experience)

Your role will include:

  • Inventory Health & Compliance: Leading the application of Medik8 Inventory Policies across all global entities and using data-driven root cause analysis to mitigate future risks.
  • Quarantine Process Leadership: Driving the weekly Quarantine Review process to ensure every item has a resolution path, minimising the time between stock landing and becoming sellable.
  • SLOB & Risk Management: Owning the monthly review processes for Raw Materials, Chemicals, and Packaging to identify declining velocity or expiry risks before they impact the balance sheet.
  • Financial Gatekeeping: Partnering with Finance to ensure accurate provisioning for at-risk stock and acting as the final authority to verify that all recovery avenues are exhausted before any destruction.
  • Stakeholder Calibration: Leading collaborative efforts across Supply Chain and Commercial teams to clear stock through re-working, sampling, or discounting.
  • IBP Integration: Owning all inventory-related inputs for the Integrated Business Planning process and maintaining high-visibility KPI dashboards for leadership.

Experience Required:

  • Demonstrable experience in inventory planning, merchandising, or supply chain management, ideally within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive experience with inventory financial literacy, including a strong understanding of provisions, write-offs, and their impact on a balance sheet.
  • Proven proficiency in data visualisation and analysis, with expert-level skills in Excel and experience using tools like Tableau or ERP systems (e.g., Odoo).
  • Extensive experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and driving process improvements across multiple departments.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of reporting standards and compliance within a global manufacturing or distribution context.
