We have an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious, experienced and resourceful commercial leader to join our UK Senior management team, as a 12 month FTC Maternity cover, playing a leading role in driving the future success of our UK market. Reporting directly to the UK General Manager, you'll design, lead and execute our commercial strategy across the Retail, E‐tail, and Professional (Clinics/Salons) channels. You will oversee our leadership positions within high-profile accounts such as Sephora, SpaceNK, JLP, Harrods, and THG, ensuring Medik8 remains the dominant brand within the premium skincare category.
You will lead and develop a team, that's expanding to x 8 heads, to cover National Account Management, Training and a nascent Regional team. Your main objective will be to lead your team to achieve outstanding commercial results (both sales and profit growth), by growing brand awareness, driving new customer acquisition and nurturing fantastic relationships with our key partners (distributors, retailers, e‐tailers).
Working closely with your team and cross‐functional colleagues in Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Development, you'll ensure our business objectives align seamlessly with the Medik8 vision and most of all, that we exceed our targets!
Location & Salary
This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week based at our office in Borehamwood and 2 days from home. Salary: £80,000 - £100,000
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement a winning multi‐channel Commercial strategy, that drives sustainable growth across all channels, is incremental and complementary to the D2C / Amazon channels and critically that enhances our Brand equity and AUP. Identify and seize profitable growth opportunities.
- Full P&L Ownership: Responsible for deploying and controlling your Commercial & Trade Marketing budgets, to maximise sales and profit targets, both £s and %, leading the monthly Integrated Business Planning process and managing the annual budget process.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with all our external partners, enhancing the reputation of Medik8, in order to secure a disproportionate share of voice and best commercial opportunities across all our partners.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a talented Sales / Training / Regional team, creating a high‐performance culture, setting clear goals and driving their professional development.
- Forecasting and Data Analytics: Achieve a high level of forecasting accuracy and performance reporting / analysis, ensuring we get best ROI and use sales data and market insights to guide strategic decisions and optimise performance.
Candidate Profile
- Held senior sales leadership roles in the Beauty / Skincare sector, as Commercial / Sales Director or "Head of" roles, ideally with a strong network of contacts in Beauty.
- Experience and a strong understanding of managing most of the following accounts Sephora / SpaceNK / JLP / Harrods / THG and ideally experience of managing a Distributor relationship.
- Proven ability to develop and execute effective Commercial strategies and successfully lead commercial negotiations.
- A natural leader with a track record of building and developing high‐performing teams.
- You'll be highly numerate, analytical and comfortable being responsible for a full P&L, using data to drive decisions and ensure we're maximising every investment.
- Excellent at fostering relationships, negotiating deals, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal, able to influence at all levels.
