Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality anaesthesia care across elective, emergency, obstetric, paediatric, orthopaedic, ENT, and other procedures.
- Lead quality improvement projects, teach trainees, contribute to audits, and expand subspecialty interests (e.g., chronic pain or ICU).
- Participate in governance and clinical leadership within the department.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centred outcomes.
Qualifications
- Fellowship of ANZCA (FANZCA), or UK equivalents (FRCA + CCT) eligible for the expedited specialist pathway.
- Specialist registration eligibility with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Strong skills in anaesthesia across a broad spectrum, with a willingness to engage in teaching, leadership, and governance.
Remuneration & Benefits
- Total packages ranging from AUD$400,000 to over AUD$700,000, inclusive of private practice.
- Relocation and accommodation support; rural incentives; leave loading; and superannuation contributions.
- Private practice opportunities and additional allowances where applicable.
Eligibility
- UK FRCA + CCT or ANZCA Fellowship.
- Eligible for AHPRA specialist registration (expedited pathway available).
