Job Title: Occupational Health Technician
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £26,325 per annum. This does not include overtime which can take earnings up to 33K per annum (calculated on an average of 8 – 9 hrs overtime per week)
Location: Stratford, E15 1XE
What Does the Role Involve?
As an Occupational Health Technician, you’ll be part of a team that helps organisations look after the health and wellbeing of their employees. You\’ll work from Medigold\’s clinic in Stratford to deliver a variety of health assessments that support early detection of health issues and promote long-term wellbeing at work.
Your day-to-day might include:
- Carrying out health surveillance tests such as:
- Audiometry (hearing tests)
- Spirometry (lung function tests)
- Skin prick allergy testing
- Vision screening
- Venepuncture (blood draws) – we’ll give you full training
- Preparing and maintaining equipment to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely
- Identifying results that need follow‑up and escalating them to our clinical team
- Supporting health promotion initiatives, like wellness events or wellbeing campaigns
- Helping to improve processes, ensuring we keep our service efficient, effective, and patient-focused
- Completing clinical paperwork and updating health records accurately
No two days are quite the same. You’ll be working independently much of the time, so being confident, organised and self‑motivated is key. Throughout your role, you’ll be supported by a friendly, experienced clinical team every step of the way.

Who we\’re looking for?
- Have a degree in Sports Science, Physiology, Health & Exercise Science, or a related field
- Great communicator with excellent organisational skills
- Hands‑on, motivated, and excited about improving health outcomes in the workplace
- Want to build a career with purpose and progression
- Bonus points if you have experience as an EMT, Occupational Health Technician, or in nursing, but it’s not essential. We provide full training!

Employment Requirements
Employment with Medigold is subject to the individual undergoing a DBS check and evidence of Right to Work in the UK. Full training is provided to all candidates.
Working Starts and Finishes
Start and finish times are dependent on our client needs which can be a mixture of early, usual or late starts and some shift work between the hours of 11pm and 6am paid at a higher rate. Core hours are 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours x 5 days per week). Overtime is usually made up of travel time to and from site and paid at a higher rate.
