As we continue to expand our science offerings, we’re looking for experienced Biology and Chemistry specialists to help create engaging, specification-aligned learning content that supports students studying GCSE and A Level sciences. The Role

Medify is recruiting multiple experienced Biology and Chemistry Subject Matter Experts with excellent written communication skills to create high-quality tutorial and assessment content on a flexible freelance basis. This role is ideal for current or recent teachers with experience developing engaging teaching resources and assessment materials for GCSE and/or A Level sciences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality assessment questions and detailed mark schemes
  • Produce engaging, accurate and specification-aligned study notes
  • Review and quality assure educational content for scientific accuracy and curriculum alignment
  • Create content aligned with OCR, AQA and Edexcel GCSE and A Level specifications
  • Collaborate with Medify’s Learning team to refine content based on feedback

About You

Essential

  • Minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Biology, Chemistry or a related subject
  • Extensive experience working with OCR, AQA or Edexcel GCSE and/or A Level Science specifications
  • Experience developing, writing and refining assessment materials
  • Excellent written English and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience examining GCSE or A Level Biology and/or Chemistry for OCR, AQA or Edexcel
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)
  • Experience creating educational resources for science students
