Join our team as a Receptionist Administrator. Hours: 20-37.5 per week to be covered (full-time or part-time interests welcome). Here we are looking for a Receptionist and Administrator role at one of our sites at MHP - Willow House Surgery.
Role Summary
Offer general assistance to the Practice team, project a positive image to patients/visitors (in-person/telephone), receive/direct patients courteously, and provide administrative/clerical support (e.g., appointments, prescriptions, data entry) for smooth operations. Facilitate communication between patients, primary/secondary care, and agencies.
Main duties of the job
- Offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
- Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the Practice team.
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.

Person Specification
- Experience: GP practice/NHS experience; Reception/admin in healthcare.
- Personal Qualities: Knowledge of equality/diversity; NHS processes (e.g., appointments/prescriptions).
- Skills/knowledge: EMIS Web/Docman; Medical terminology; GDPR/confidentiality protocols.
- Qualifications: Good general education to GCSE or equivalent (Grade B+ in Maths/English); NVQ Level 2/3 in Admin/Health & Social Care.
