MedicsPro is currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join a team based at the Civic Centre in Newport, working with adults with learning disabilities. This is a great opportunity for an experienced practitioner looking for their next role within a busy and rewarding adult services setting.
You’ll be working with adults with learning disabilities, carrying out assessments and reviews, managing a varied caseload, and supporting positive outcomes for individuals and carers. This role will suit someone who is confident working in a fast-paced environment, whether that’s within front door services, community teams or hospital discharge pathways.
- Experience of assessing and reviewing adults with learning disabilities
- Confidence managing complex cases and risk
- Understanding of safeguarding and the protection of vulnerable adults
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office / Windows systems
- Commitment to confidentiality, professional standards and ongoing development
