Biomedical Scientist

Locum Biomedical Scientists required in Liverpool

We are seeking dedicated Biomedical Scientists to join the MedicsPro Team! The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory activities at one of our clients\’ busy NHS Hospitals in Liverpool.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform, interpret, and validate a wide range of investigations in line with laboratory
• protocols.
• Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with quality
• standards and Health & Safety policies.
• Contribute to the training, mentoring, and supervision of junior staff.
• Support the implementation of new techniques, procedures, and service improvements.
• Accurately record, analyse, and report results using LIMS and other relevant systems.
• Participate in Rota duties, including out-of-hours, weekends, and bank holidays as required.

Qualifications:

• HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
• Strong experience in molecular biology techniques, including nucleic acid extraction, nucleic
• acid sequencing NGS and PCR/qPCR.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Previous NHS experience in a laboratory setting
• Familiarity with laboratory information management systems is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Full-Time, Temporary

Contract length: 12 months
