MedicsPro are seeking experienced Registered Intensive Care Nurse (ITU) - Band 6 with recent Hospital experience, who are looking for flexible extra shifts or full-time agency work at Private Hospitals in London.
This opportunity is to cover Monday - Sunday, Long Day & Night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and accurately administer medication.
- Offer clear guidance and support to patients and their families about care and treatment plans.
- Manage patient documentation and maintain accurate medical records.
- Perform routine procedures such as taking samples, and monitoring vital signs including pulse, temperature, and blood pressure.
- Listen actively to understand patients' needs and symptoms.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop, implement, and regularly evaluate effective care plans.
- Ensure the proper functioning of medical equipment, including ventilators, drains, catheters, IV lines, and pumps.
- Contribute to ongoing research-based care and practice development initiatives.
- Initiate and implement improvements in clinical practice and patient care.
- Perform all nursing duties as required by senior staff, including potentially deputizing for seniors in their absence.
- Maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
