Exciting opportunity for Registered Recovery Nurse (Band 5) in the London area. MedicsPro are seeking experienced Recovery Nurses - Band 5 with recent NHS experience, who are looking for flexible extra shifts or full-time agency work within the London area. This opportunity is to cover Monday - Sunday, day shifts, during the hours of 8am-8pm. Various working shifts available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare instruments and set up surgical equipment to ensure a sterile and efficient environment.
- Assist in positioning, preparing, and draping patients according to surgical procedures.
- Support the surgical team by scrubbing in for surgery and anticipating the surgeon's needs for equipment and instruments.
- Label and document medications and other items used in the operating room accurately.
- Monitor and record the patient's respiratory and cardiovascular signs throughout the procedure.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure smooth and successful operations.
- Consider potential complications and develop a plan of action for any necessary lifesaving measures.
- Maintain strict hygiene standards, including washing hands and arms with surgical soap before and after procedures.
