Medics Pro are seeking experienced Renal Dialysis Nurses - Band 5/6 with recent NHS experience, who are looking for a line of work at Mountainhall Treatment Centre.
This opportunity is to cover Monday - Sunday, day shifts, during the hours of 0700-1700 or 0700-1500.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer dialysis therapy using Fresenius, Nikisso, or other approved machines
- Monitor vital signs, assess access (AVF, CVC), and identify signs of infection or complications
- Administer prescribed medicines in line with NMC standards and Trust policy
- Operate and maintain dialysis equipment, ensuring sterility and safety
- Recognise changes in patient condition and elevate appropriately
- Develop and implement care plans in partnership with patients and carers
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members (e. g., renal dietitian, psychologist)
- Educate patients and families about kidney disease, dialysis, and lifestyle changes
- Competent in haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis procedures
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and empathy skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including on call rotations
- Knowledge of NMC standards, Trust policies, and evidence based renal care practice
