We are looking for a bold, compassionate Registered Service Manager to lead a registering solo homes for up to 2 children, supporting one child at a time with 2:1 care. This is not your average management role. This is leadership where it counts, where trauma-informed care meets real purpose and where your decisions change lives fast.
Category Essential:
- Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or currently working towards this. Evidence of continued professional development.
- Knowledge and Experience: Experience as an Assistant Manager of a large service with high volumes of support workers or as a Registered Manager in a multi-home or dual registration setting. Proven experience of working with children who present with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Knowledge of Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, SCCIF framework and Quality Standards. Experience of working in emotionally challenging environments requiring patience and resilience. Experience in financial oversight including budget management and resource planning.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, develop and lead a team. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, to engage effectively with professionals, children and families. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in challenging situations. Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills. Confident in IT systems for reporting, care planning and compliance monitoring.
