About the Role:
We are seeking an organised and proactive Dispatcher to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is crucial in coordinating patient transport, managing driver schedules, and ensuring timely communication between staff and services. You will play a key part in supporting patient care by keeping operations efficient and responsive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers for patient transport and medical deliveries.
- Monitor schedules and adjust assignments to meet urgent needs.
- Act as the central communication point between drivers, clinical staff, and management.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, timings, and service requests.
- Ensure compliance with NHS and UTC operational policies.
- Handle urgent calls and prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or healthcare coordination preferred.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- IT literacy (basic knowledge of scheduling software or databases).
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
