Position: Dispatcher

Location: Cannock

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

Shift Time: Monday to Friday 18:00-00:00, Saturday and Sunday 08:00-00:00

Salary: Weekday £14 and Weekend £15 per hour.

About the Role:

We are seeking an organised and proactive Dispatcher to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is crucial in coordinating patient transport, managing driver schedules, and ensuring timely communication between staff and services. You will play a key part in supporting patient care by keeping operations efficient and responsive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and dispatch drivers for patient transport and medical deliveries.
  • Monitor schedules and adjust assignments to meet urgent needs.
  • Act as the central communication point between drivers, clinical staff, and management.
  • Maintain accurate records of journeys, timings, and service requests.
  • Ensure compliance with NHS and UTC operational policies.
  • Handle urgent calls and prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or healthcare coordination preferred.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • IT literacy (basic knowledge of scheduling software or databases).
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
