The Opportunity
The Supply Chain Analyst supports production and operational planning by managing inventory, analyzing data, and contributing to demand planning and continuous improvement initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with production and maintenance teams to align inventory and capacity with business needs, helping ensure the right materials are available at the right time. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing data, solving complex problems, and improving processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This posting is for a newly created position to support our continued growth.
What You Will Do
- Oversee supply chain activities such as order placement, logistics, inbound/outbound, QC releases and material transfers
- Align demand with supply and translate requirements into purchase orders to minimize back orders
- Monitor progress indicators from various systems and prepare reports (tables, graphs, etc.)
- Manage inventory, back-orders, and slow-moving stock while ensuring optimal levels of safety stock
- Coordinate transportation and freight forwarding companies to ensure timely delivery and pickup of materials
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality and maintenance teams to ensure synchronized business planning
- Uphold Medicom's quality procedures and confidentiality standards
- May include other related duties as required, provided such duties are reasonable and consistent with the employee's qualifications and role responsibilities.
What You Bring
- College Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field
- 3 - 5 years of experience in logistics or distribution, with at least 1 year as a Demand Planner
- Working knowledge of S&OP processes and forecasting tools (ERP, PBI, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide clear recommendations
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution
- Demonstrated adaptability, initiative, and 'get things done' attitude
Assets
- Experience in the medical device or retail manufacturing sector
- Experience in entrepreneurial or fast-growing business environments
- Understanding of medical device supply chain and commercial processes
- Exposure to Lean or Agile methodologies
What We Offer
Compensation: The expected base salary range for this position is $75,000 – $85,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, internal equity, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Depending on the role, the position may be eligible to participate in a bonus or incentive program.
