Our residential homes care for young people aged between 13 and 21 who have experienced trauma in their lives. They may present with conditions such as Self Harm, EBD, BPD, eating disorders, or may have experienced antisocial conditioning such as CSE or traumatic HSB. Our skilled teams, led by clinical psychiatric and social care professionals work tirelessly and sensitively to improve young lives and offer them a brighter future. Our nurturing homes are beautifully situated in glorious rural Gloucestershire hamlets and create a supportive family lifestyle, offering our young people a place of security and regular therapy. We also have an associated SEN school that supports their learning and development to a high standard.
About The Role
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is essential for our STCW role. We offer a strong salary of £36,000 which includes some sleep ins and weekends on a rota pattern. Additional benefits include pension, a company sick pay scheme, childcare support. Seniors take on a supervisory role and run shifts, supporting the house management and guiding the support workers. They take an active role in providing the children with emotional, social and behavioural support in order to achieve their goals and help them overcome the traumas they have suffered.
About You
A kind and caring disposition, an emotionally robust person with safeguarding at the heart of your work style. Strong on paperwork and procedural documentation, to include staff supervisions. Exhibit leadership skills and assist the company with developing less experienced staff to their full potential. Actively contribute to the provision of quality care, within which the health, welfare, education and development of young people is promoted. The ability to help our children and young people learn social and interpersonal skills, develop a positive sense of self and build their self-esteem and confidence.
Our Essential Requirements
- Candidates MUST be over 21 with a full, manual driving license.
- STCW applicants must have a Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- You must be available to work to the house shift patterns which will include unsociable hours over a rolling 7 day working 39 hour week pattern.
