The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
We are seeking an experienced Locum Social Worker to join our East Dorset Locality Team, working with adults in the community to manage complex cases and deliver high-quality, strengths-based assessments within a local authority setting. The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week, undertake community visits as required, attend the office a minimum of two days per week, and demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant legislation, excellent assessment skills, and experience working with complexity, including completing Court of Protection work.
Responsibilities
- Complete strengths-based assessments and care planning
- Manage a complex caseload within adult social care
- Conduct community visits and home assessments
- Lead on Court of Protection work, including reports and applications
- Undertake safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments
- Apply strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and relevant legislation
- Work hybrid: minimum 2 office days per week
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experience in adult social care (local authority preferred)
- Strong assessment, risk management, and case coordination skills
- Proven work with complex cases
- Essential experience in Court of Protection assessments and reports
- Full ability to complete community-based work
