Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) .

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of two children’s homes (Birmingham & Leicester).
  • Ensure full compliance with
  • Ofsted and

Children’s Homes Regulations .

  • Lead, mentor, and support staff teams, ensuring professional growth and development.
  • Design and oversee individualised care plans to meet each young person’s emotional and developmental needs.
  • Promote safeguarding practices and maintain a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
  • Monitor performance through audits, incident reviews, and continuous improvement measures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior or deputy role within a children’s residential home.
  • Strong background in supporting children with

EBD and challenging behaviours .

  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding law, Ofsted standards, and Children’s Homes Regulations .
  • Level 4 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare

(or equivalent).

  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice .
  • Enhanced

DBS required.

  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • No sponsorship available
  • applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK (Share Code if applicable).
