We are seeking an experienced and motivated Audit Executive to join the Internal Audit team. The successful candidate will provide audit advice and assurance across a range of services while supporting risk-based audits and continuous service improvement.
Tasks:
- Deliver internal audits from scoping through to final report stage
- Provide flexible and responsive audit support across services
- Review value for money arrangements where appropriate
- Support service developments and improvement projects
- Prepare clear audit findings and recommendations
- Apply risk-based auditing principles effectively
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders and management teams
Requirements:
- CIPFA, CCAB, AAT, IIA qualification or equivalent
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within a public sector internal audit team
- Strong understanding of auditing standards and principles
- Knowledge of Local Government finance framework and statutory requirements
- Experience with contract and procurement audits
- Good Microsoft Office and audit software knowledge
