About the Role
Our Care Home is seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of our care facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional to contribute to high-quality care delivery while leading and developing a committed care team.
Tasks
- Support the Home Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care home
- Ensure the delivery of person-centred care in line with regulatory standards
- Supervise, mentor, and lead care staff to maintain high performance
- Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and internal policies
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Handle staff rota planning, training coordination, and performance reviews
- Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents and staff
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a care home or similar healthcare setting
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or currently working towards it)
- Level 3 Safeguarding Adults certification
- Training in Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
- Valid First Aid and Medication Management certifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
