Overview
The Learning and development Facilitator ensures competence within the legislative environment and Mediclinic Southern Africa strategy as aligned with the HR Service Delivery Model. The facilitator manages and reports on employee development, including student learning, in a structured manner.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Advocate of a learning culture
- Manage employee development in a planned manner in accordance with the MCSA strategy
- Manage formal students
- Act as custodian of learning and development standards of the locality
- Enable transformation through learning and development
Required Education
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Professional Nurse qualification, and Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education OR 3 years’ experience as a Clinical Facilitator

- Education, training and relevant healthcare-related legislation and its application within the learning and development environment; HWSETA and SANC requirements, including but not limited to those proposed by AHA & HPCSA.
- General nursing science and clinical skills
- Instructional Design (ADDIE model)
- Kirkpatrick levels of evaluation
- Learning (group) facilitation tools, techniques and best practices
- Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Mediclinic clinical procedures and policies
